How to play

Eat food on a 20×20 board to earn 10 points and grow by one cell each time. Every 5 pieces of food raise the level, gradually reducing the movement interval from 160 milliseconds to a minimum of 65 milliseconds. Hitting a wall ends Classic mode; in Wrap mode, you reappear on the opposite side. Hitting your own body ends either mode. Fill the entire board to win. Personal bests for the two modes are stored separately in the current browser.

Controls

Choose Classic or Wrap mode before starting, then click Start. Desktop: use the arrow keys or WASD to turn; P, Esc or Space to pause or resume; and R to restart during a current round. Touch: tap the direction buttons or swipe on the board. You cannot reverse directly. Leaving the page or switching focus away from the window pauses the game automatically; resume it manually.

A little tip

Check the gaps between your body and the food before turning. Leave a wide route around the edges, and keep an escape route for the next move as you grow.

Choose a route for Classic walls or Wraparound

In Classic walls mode, turn before reaching the edge and leave a route around the outside. Wraparound lets you cross an edge and appear on the opposite side, but your body may block that exit. Check the opposite edge before crossing. Neither mode allows a direct U-turn or passing through your body.

How speed and personal records work

Each food adds 10 points, and every five foods raises the level, so movement speeds up at each 50-point step until the speed limit. Plan space for your growing body as well as your next food. Classic walls and Wraparound keep separate high scores in this browser, without cross-device sync.
